Zone Striping, Inc. is the region’s most respected Line Striping and Pavement Marking Contractor.
The Company was first formed as Paul Mitchell Pavement Markings in 1959 and later became known as Zone Striping Co. The Company’s founder, E.R. Paul Mitchell is the Grandfather of the current President.
In its early years, Zone Striping made its mark in the parking lot striping business working for Builders and General Contractors on the regions premier Shopping Centers and Office Complexes.
In 1981 after working in the family business, Paul R. Mitchell, Jr. purchased the Company from his Grandfather at the age of 18. With visions of growing the Company, Paul, Jr. set his sights on the Highway Construction side of the industry.
In 1983, the Company built a line striper out of an old stake body truck and set out to leave its mark on the Highway Striping business. The fleet has grown from 3 to nearly 100 vehicles today and employs over 100 people.
Mark A. Mitchell, younger brother of the President came on board in 1987. Mark concentrated his efforts on the Project Administration aspects of the operation and today is responsible for the Project and Office Administration, overseeing the over 500 plus projects which are completed on average annually.
Youngest brother, Eric D. Mitchell started with the company in 1992 as a foreman and soon after became a Superintendant on the Company’s Prime Contracts. He has also spearheaded the Company’s growth into Airport striping which has expanded greatly over the last decade.
Zone Striping has positioned itself not only as an expert installer of all types of striping and marking but remains poised to leave its mark on whatever challenges the future holds.
