Line Striping & Markings

Zone Striping, Inc. owns and operates one of the region's largest fleets of line striping trucks and equipment. The company is capable of applying paint, thermoplastic, epsoxy resin and performed tape markings necessary to meet all the specifications currently in use by the various highway agencies. Zone Utilizes this equipment to service nearly 500 seperate projects annually.

Epoxy Resin Paint and Polyurea

Zone Striping has been installing durable wet reflective epoxy resin striping and pavement marking for nearly 25 years. The durability of epoxy resin paint and its continued performance under extreme weather and temperature conditions has made it an ideal choice for pavement striping in the Northeast. Zone Striping pioneered the use of epoxy resin paint as a temporary marking in the early 1990s as a result of customer demand for paints that could withstand winter conditions that would allow them to complete projects on schedule, even in cold temperatures. The company has the most updated equipment necessary for the preparation of pavement and the application of epoxy resin paint and is equipped for both “shot blast” and “hydro blast” concrete preparation as well as grooving equipment capable of installing triple drop epoxy on PA Turnpike and NY Thruway projects. Furthermore, Zone Striping has all the necessary equipment and contrast epoxy required for work on the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway projects. As with all their services, Zone continues to stay at the forefront of the industry by maintaining state of the art equipment and highly trained personnel.

Tape

Zone Striping has been installing both durable and temporary marking tape for over 30 years. Although this type of marking does not require the same equipment as other forms of striping, it does require highly trained personnel in order to install it properly and professionally. In order to ensure the quality of marking tape installation, Zone Striping maintains manufacturer certifications on all of its installation crews. Over the past few years Zone has completed several high profile durable tape projects in Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey including projects for the Maryland State Highway Administration (MDSHA), the Maryland Transit Authority (MdTA), the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) with work on I-95, and the Morris County Department of Engineering. Zone Striping has also installed temporary tape on numerous projects for NJDOT, DelDOT, PennDOT, MDSHA, MdTA, NJ Turnpike Authority, and the Garden State Parkway. Zone Striping is proud to be a preferred installer of tape products by various tape manufacturers.

Thermoplastic

Zone Striping has been installing thermoplastic pavement markings for over 30 years and has experience installing all forms of thermoplastic applications. Zone is equipped to install screed/extrude, ribbon/extrude, spray, thin-line spray, recessed and “wet reflective” thermoplastic applications. Whether your project requires long-line, high production truck-mounted striping or short-line and symbol/legend detail work, Zone has the necessary equipment and knowledgeable professionals to insure a successful installation.

Preformed Thermoplastic

Zone Striping is a manufacturer-certified installer of preformed thermoplastic in both highway and airport applications. Zone has installed “Air Mark” preformed thermoplastic at numerous airports throughout the Northeast and has installed over 10,000 preformed thermoplastic legends and logos for intersections and pedestrian and bike lane markings. As a certified installer, Zone has access to the industry’s most advanced performed thermoplastic installation equipment which Zone’s skilled professionals can use to complete your next project.

Waterborne Paint

When environmental regulations changed in the 1980s, pushing the industry away from solvent-based paint to waterborne paint, Zone Striping was one of the first companies to convert its entire fleet to accommodate the new paint. Instead of relying on the “grandfather clause” and continuing to install solvent-based paint, Zone moved forward as one of the first line-striping contractors to install waterborne paint exclusively. As a result of this early change in strategy, Zone has more experience than its competitors in the installation of waterborne paint. Furthermore, after working with equipment manufacturers and material suppliers, Zone was able to develop an advanced fleet of Waterborne Paint striping trucks. Zone’s highly trained professionals, combined with this new equipment, are the ideal choice in installing temporary and permanent marking for both highway and airport applications, utilizing standard, fast dry, “wet reflective” as well as “high build” paints.
